’m looking to team up with other artists, makers and vendors in the Grand Rapids area to help shoppers find the perfect human-made holiday gift for that one super eccentric person who is impossible to shop for because of how niche their interests and vibes are. My hope is to encourage thinking outside conventional gift guides, highlight the creativity of artists in our area, and make people who are traditionally hard to shop for really feel seen rather than just getting a gift card or cash. About Me

I truly love each piece I craft. I wouldn’t make anything for you I wouldn’t want to keep for myself. I’m inspired by simple joys in life—like the first cup of coffee in the too-early-for-this morning, whimsy, food, nature, and anything else that moves me.

I make beautiful pieces for real life, such as your favorite mug, candle luminaries, ramen and soup bowls, bookends, movie-night popcorn bowls, everyday spoon rests, and more. Each piece is made, trimmed, fired, glazed, and fired again by loving hands over multiple days or weeks. No slip casting, no team. Just one tired mama, one lump of clay at a time.

I love my life with my goofy and supportive husband, our tornado of a toddler, and our two black cats. When I’m not chasing my son or in my studio, I like to listen to true crime podcasts, watch Bob’s Burgers on repeat, garden, knit, cook/bake, practice yoga, or be up in the air on an aerial hammock or silks. But I’m probably cleaning or getting chicken nuggies heated.

This bug is really taking it out of me and putting me behind on my production schedule 🤧🤧 While this is just a cold, please take this as your helpful reminder to get your flu (Shot) before boo if you haven’t already (and if approved by your doctor for your situation). Thanks for being patient and understanding that potters are humans! 😊 In this second chapter of Studio Sunday Scaries, you’ve been warned not to underestimate the clay itself. It knows how to break you when you least expect it. These two beauties are going up on the Studio shop tonight (the mugs, not my kitty 😽😽)! More to come later this month. I’m still working on getting my seasonal/holiday timing right, but they’re up until sold! And Halloween is all year round baby! 😎 I had a lot of fun playing with these two; this was my first experiment with sgraffito and using resists. I love pulling from nature and my life and finding the mystical thread in them. The first all-black mug are full of little-known and/or little-loved pollinators, or garden friends. I currently have two black cats and grew up with a beloved orange one (RIP Merlin 🕯️ 2014), which prompted a fun little idea in my mind of three cats in Halloween colors, Trick🖤, Treat🧡, and Boo🤍 and how could I play with transitions with those colors.
